Family Days out

There are plenty of things to do in Bude and the surrounding area for children: In Bude itself there is:-

 

The Splash Leisure Centre, Bude (EX23 8AR) 01288 356191, the swimming pool includes a wave machine and flume which are on in the family fun sessions.

The Venue, Bude (EX23 8AR) 01288 355366 has ten lanes of ten-pin bowling, plus a huge indoor children’s play zone with six levels and many fun obstacles. Open all year, Snack bar and licensed bar. See: www.harlequinns.com

Budehaven Recreation Ground, Bude (EX23 8LG) 01288 352515 Offers a mixture of outdoor and indoor activities including tennis, table tennis, squash, racketball, crazy golf, putting and bowls.

Bude Playpark: A well-equipped spot for younger children next to the Tourist Information Centre.

​

Bude Canal towpath: The flat towpath is easy going with pushchairs. Take some bread to feed to the ducks whilst watching the rowing boats. A longer walk offers even more to see as you pass the Green Flag Nature Reserve, and eventually reach the pretty village of Marhamchurch.
 

Rebel Cinema, Poundstock, nr. Bude (EX23 0DT) 01288 361442 A traditional cinema with modern comforts including air conditioning, snug seats and digital surround sound. Catch the latest movies in style, just five miles south of Bude on the A39. Kids aged 4 and over are allowed, with discounted tickets before 7pm. A range of activities including walking, getting on the water and a children’s play area.
